Three Steps to Get Organized – VIDEO

In this lively interview with the Live Like Locals team, Dr. Melissa Gratias discusses three steps toward getting organized in the new year, or any time of year!

Identify the why.

Getting organized is a means to an end.  Why do you want to get organized?  Your burning reason why will sustain you when achieving your goal is difficult.

Figure out when.

You must allocate time on your calendar to work on your organizing tasks.  Look at your calendar.  Are your goals and values reflected in how you are spending your time?  If not, are these things are really important to you?

Learn how.

Read a book on organizing your office.  Watch a video on managing your time.  Hire a professional to help you (cough, cough).

And, remember…

There is no ability like accountability.  ~Melissa Gratias

Write down your goals.  Share your goals with trusted accountability partners.

The trouble is that few people have concrete strategies to get back on task quickly after an interruption. Some people completely lose focus…for hours! If you have tried reducing interruptions, but they still impact your ability to be effective at work, this free webinar is for you.
